Hornbill Safaris

he Eco-resorts Hornbill Safaris provide you with an excellent introduction to the landscapes, cultures and wildlife of East Africa, whilst enjoying your basic creature comforts.

Generally based around permanent tented camps and lodges found in East Africa's National Parks and Reserves, these properties are comfortable with proper beds, hot showers, ensuite toilets, some form of electricity for at least most of the day, friendly, staff and excellent food.

Camps and lodges vary in size, with an average size between twenty to thirty rooms. Most of them are set on the banks of a river or natural waterhole, sometimes with a swimming pool.

You will travel by plane and vehicle. Usually sturdy mini-buses are used; however 4WD vehicles are available at times. Generally your vehicle and driver/guide is at your personal disposal, allowing you to choose your own schedule. Apart from some altitude constraints, there are no fitness requirements for the Hornbill Safari; many Hornbill properties offer fully disabled facilities.
