African Safari Press Trips Offered

Eco-resorts of East Africa offers a splendid array of unique and
unusual safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. They are offering three exciting
trips to qualified journalists for 2002.
Eco-resorts’ Art Safari is available October 5-16, 2002 and
February 1-12, 2003. Focusing on fine art photography (including
black and white stills), field sketching and painting, this adventure
offers new techniques, professional ‘tips’ and plenty
of practice time! This wonderful safari ends with an art exhibit
and includes lessons with a master artist, art supplies, all activities,
meals and transportation while on safari.
The Masai Mara Migration Wildlife Photo Safari is available July
27 – August 5, 2002. Explore the rich diversity of Africa’s
wildlife on this amazing 9-day visit. Learn about photographing
the wildlife in their natural habitat from an experienced, professional
photographer. This self-camping style safari includes a driver/guide,
camp cook, all camping supplies, lessons with a professional photographer,
all activities, meals and transportation while on safari.
The Woman to Woman Safari will take place October 20-31,
2002. Designed by women for women, this safari allows you to see
that there is more to Africa than wildlife. It is a cultural journey
to learn and understand the women’s movement of East Africa.
Combining traditional game viewing with visits to local villages
and women’s community projects, this trip allows visitors
to see life in both a tribal and colonial culture. This stimulating
safari includes all activities, meals and transportation while on
safari.
On all trips, journalist requirements ask that you write for a
national magazine in the USA and/or national newspapers with a circulation
of 250,000 or more. A letter of assignment is required to be provided.
Publications desired include outdoor, travel and adventure travel
magazines and large newspaper travel sections. Most trips are with
other Eco-resorts guests and may be cancelled and/or modified according
to booking patterns. There are spaces for two journalists on each
safari listed above.
International airfare is not included. Other personal expenses
such as liquor, laundry, personal purchases, gratuities, etc. are
