Explore the wonders of East Africa while assisting those who
are less fortunate. Eco-resorts’ two-week Volunteer Vacation offers an introduction
to the famous safari country while helping some of Kenya’s abandoned children.
Departure dates are February 9, September 14, October 12 and November 9, 2002.
The price is $2295 per person; a minimum of four people is required.
Volunteers help with ongoing projects, include farming, building,
cooking, home repairs, sewing and just spending time with the children. They may
also be able to participate in special projects that are needed, such as construction
projects and teaching.
Afternoons and evenings are spent exploring the wonders of the
Watamu area, which has developed an international reputation for its white-sand,
reef-protected beaches that line the Watamu National Marine Park. This Marine
Park is Kenya’s oldest and has developed into one of the best snorkeling and dive

windsurfing to dolphin watching boat trips, gentle walks to explore the rock pools
